Only a handful of scientists live there... there are few natural resources... it's dark half the year... and it's cold!
It's also the last unexplored continent on the planet.
The continent of Antarctica is made up of six million square miles of unknown landscapes. These landscapes still have many secrets and mysteries to be revealed.
The more we learn about Antarctica the more we realise how closely tied together Australia and Antarctica are.
THERE IS A LOT TO LEARN AND EVEN MORE TO BE GAINED.

Dear teachers!
I think Antarctica is important to Australia because if global warming happens and all the ice melts it will flood the whole world. I also like the blog those two penguins are so cute!

I feel it is so important to find out even more about Antartica than we already know. It is very unknown to most of us.I can't wait to read even more on your Blog. Well done Year 5!
We should care about Antarctica because it is truely one of the most impressive and pristine parts of the world.
I think that we care about Antartica because we will learn more about it then the world and it is very interesting.
I like the blogs aswell because the blog has fantastic pictures and information and I like the pictures the most because they are cool
:)
If the Antarctic ice sheets melt, our oceans would rise by 60 meters and most of the earth would be underwater. I think thats a good enough reason by itself to look after this very special place. Your website is great and I'm looking forward more interesting "Antarctic Articles".
Attention all year 5 students!
If you are studying:
